Land
Acknowledgement

I reside and practice on the traditional lands of the Indigenous peoples of this region, known as Amiskwaciwâskahikan in Cree, now commonly referred to as Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The history of this land is one that encompasses both resilience and adversity.

I honor the enduring connection of Indigenous peoples, including but not limited to the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, and Métis, to this territory. I acknowledge the profound hardships, including colonization, forced displacement, and cultural suppression, that Indigenous communities have faced throughout history. I recognize that the impact from these hardships are ongoing and that healing from these historical injustices is a continuous process.

I pledge to listen and learn from Indigenous peoples, to amplify their stories and perspectives, and to support their self-determination. I recognize that reconciliation is not just a word but a commitment to meaningful action, equity, and justice.  I am dedicated to contributing to this shared journey of healing and reconciliation. I invite all visitors to this website to join in this journey of understanding, respect, and healing.
